When Chepstow Plant Services moved their first of 5 new Komatsu HD785’s into a large UK quarry recently there wasn’t a lot of room for much else on the roads.  Not something you would usually find on the roads in the UK, these trucks are more likely to be found in the mining industry in Australia or Africa.

If it is then the future looks bright!  We have seen Caterpillar invest £50 million in their UK production plants and JCB report their biggest turnover in 66 years (37% greater than in 2010) the plant industry in the UK certainly seems to be coming back to life.

Not really big enough! The ‘Red Noses’ available for motor vehicles in this years (2011) campaign for Comic Relief are not quite big enough for the Caterpillar Dumptrucks found in Chepstow Plant Services yard in Newport Docks.The team at Chepstow Plant Services for Comic Relief March 2011
